God had delegated the power over the earth to mankind in the beginning (Genesis 1:26-28; Psalms 8:4-8, and 115:16). When man disobeyed God (Genesis 3:1-6), that power was delivered to Satan (Luke 4:6). Therefore, the Lord did not have absolute control over the earth and its affairs. When Jesus died, He descended into hell (Psalms 16:10 with Acts 2:31, and Ephesians 4:8-10) and stripped Satan of all his power (Revelation 1:18). Now, God once again has all power in heaven and earth.

The reason we can go into all the world and share the Gospel is because Jesus now has all power in heaven and earth. As His ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20), we have that power too.

Notice that teaching was mentioned twice in this commission. We have not been commanded to proclaim only, but we are also supposed to explain and provide training. This is the cornerstone of Jesus’ plan of evangelization.

The harmony between this commission of Jesus and the practice of the early church is simple. When they baptized in the name of Jesus, they were baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost because “in him [Jesus] dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily” (Colossians 2:9). Therefore, baptizing either in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost or in the name of Jesus is correct as long as Colossians 2:9 is understood.

Jesus gave us the ministry of reconciliation, Jesus reconciled mankind. He gave us the ability to exist the way we were supposed to in the beginning. Having relationship with God the Father himself every single day. Giving us Eternal Life, Blessings, Favors, Love, Peace, Joy, Prosperity, Physically and mentally healed, No sickness or disease providing all of our needs according to His riches and glory.

Jesus became what we were and suffered what we should have suffered so that we could become what He is and experience what He has.
